Guide 8 How to lay down on your side easier
Quick summary: There are 4 strategies for laying down on your side easier
1. Ball up a shirt and stack it under or over your pillow and lie down on the stack for an easy two pillow stack rest

2. Use a rolled up blanket in between your inner legs to rest body parts that lay on your hard body instead of your soft bed
3. When laying on the side put a balled up shirt under your top arm and on top of your upper body to rest your arm without your elbow digging into your upper body.
4. When laying on your side and you want to stack your arms, put a balled up shirt on your hands so that the top arm doesn’t fall into a difficult hold.
1. Ball up a shirt and stack it under or over your pillow and lie down on the stack for an easy two pillow stack rest. Normally two pillows are too much or fall apart. This consistent way of having a higher pillow stack will naturally rest your head and body better.
2. Use a rolled up blanket in between your inner legs to rest body parts that lay on your hard body instead of your soft bed. You may notice getting sore in the knees and ankles from always getting a hard rest from stacking your legs. With this soft rest the knees will get a proper soft surface rest. This rest may only be necessary 10-30 minutes a week just to adjust the knees for the normal rest it gets. Using more is possible however stop if not getting the proper return and feeling more tired.
3. When laying on the side put a balled up shirt under your top arm elbow and then put the shirt on top of your upper body to rest your arm without your elbow digging into your upper body. You can also put the shirt anywhere between your arm and upper body at many different locations and angles that help you feel more comfortable.
4. When laying on your side and you want to stack your arms, put a balled up shirt on your hands so that the top arm doesn’t fall into a difficult hold. Simple enough the correct angle being used will cause for an easier rest. Any of these techniques are for longer more comfortable lay downs on your side which is great for a regularly tired side.
5. Any of these four techniques can be used anytime with little difficulty expected from consistent use. These techniques may cause muscle building however it is not usually expected to cause hidden muscle unless the user is at a high level of dopamine and overall health.
Why it works
1. Stacking with a rolled up shirt gives a better angle on the neck and head which creates a completely new way of laying down more comfortably.
2. The muscles that do not get the blanket rest remain sore and take up nutrients and dopamine until fixed. Once fixed the body will function better to recover the inner legs and recover the rest of the body better.
3. The pain from your arm digging into your upper body will be removed allowing for a long term rest that is more effective.
4. The pain from your arm falling limp and causing a stretch in the upper back will be removed allowing for a long term rest that is more effective.
Other notes
1. These lay down strategies can be used consistently. These strategies are even better if used together. If experiencing tiredness then take a few days without them and lie down naturally until the necessary body parts recover.
